Bay Of Plenty DHB    

Bay of Plenty District Health Board provides healthcare to a region including Tauranga City and the township of Whakatane. Lakes DHB    

Lakes District Health Board provides health and disability services to a community of over 100,000 people.  Hospitals in Rotorua (200 bed) and Taupo (28 bed), provide medical, surgical, women’s and children’s healthcare services, along with care for the elderly, disability support and mental health support services. Lakes DHB has 24-hour laboratory and radiology services including MRI.

With around 1200 staff, health professionals here practice evidence-based medicine with a strong multi-disciplinary focus on patient management. The DHB values the principles of magnet hospitals.

Tairawhiti DHB

Taranaki DHB 

Two hospitals, five health centres, one picturesque mountain and a coastal walkway combing the west coast that stretches the length of New Plymouth as well as beaches renowned for outstanding surf spots, and people who value working together for a healthy community! It's a great place to live and work.

Serving a population of 109,000, the major hospital, Taranaki Base, has a state of the art Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, MRI, Renal Unit, Radiology Suite and a separate, very new, Mental Health facility.  Hawera Hospital was opened in 2001 and provides inpatient and maternity care and a full range of outpatient services.

Waikato DHB  

Waikato District Health Board is one of New Zealand's most progressive publicly-funded health organisations. It provides health and disability services to 360,270 people living in the Waikato, Thames Valley and King Country regions and specialty tertiary and trauma co-ordination services to the regional population of 826,000.

Health care is provided by 5,500 employees through Waikato Hospital and a network of community hospitals and services. The Waikato DHB is renowned for leading edge medical practice and is currently embarking on an eight year change programme to re-develop service delivery and two of the hospital campuses.
